Who Are We...WILDCATS!
West Bend Wildcats Wrestling
The West Bend Wildcats is a youth wrestling club for boys and girls ages 4 through 8th grade. You don't have to live in West Bend, nor do you have to go to WB public schools to be a part of this great wrestling club.
Our club is run by volunteer coaches and a volunteer board with a focus on teaching the fundamentals of wrestling, building character and responsibility.
The season typically begins in the middle of November and goes through the State Tournament in late March.
New to wrestling?? Come out on Tuesday-Thursday, during the 1st week of practices to see how great this sport truly is!
The great thing about wrestling is that you are not tied down to going to every tournament that's offered. You and your wrestler get to choose which tournaments to take part in. These range in distance from West Bend (as close as Kewaskum to as far as another state) and skill level for each wrestler. Our Head Coach has a list of tournaments in the area that will help you navigate which tournament(s) are best suited for your wrestler! We may also have some Duals (like how the High School Wrestlers do it) wherein, we would really like to have ALL Wildcats present to partake in the dual and support each other! These are amazing to be a part of and really build on the team aspect of wrestling (since it is often an individual sport at tournaments).
Group Breakdown:
All of these breakdowns are dependent on skill level and years of experience and are subject to change.
- Little Cats - 4yrs up to 2nd/3rd grade
- Big Cats - 2nd/3rd-4th grades
- Intermediate - 3rd/4th grade-6th grade
- Advanced - 5th/6th -8th grade
Registration costs*: Only $225 for the entire year! Wrestlers practicing one day per week will have a significant discounted rate of only $150 (little cats and wrestlers who can only make one night per wk); two days per week and/or three days per week will be $225. For families with 2 or more wrestlers, there is a $25 discount per child after the first wrestler's full registration amount. There is a 3% transaction fee charged by Sports Engine when signing up your child(ren).
